Hello. As of today all the remaining packages are packed up and ready to send out tomorrow. I sent out a bunch yesterday, and the remaining packages will go out tomorrow (post office isn't open today).
We launch Dragon Grit #4 on Tuesday, March 4th. That means some of you will get your packages after the new campaign starts, but I assure you that if you completed your survey, your package is on its way to you. If you'd like tracking information on your package, please let me know.
Here's a look at some of the rewards available on the next Kickstarter:
Cover A by Kay Woolhiser, Cover B by K Lynn Smith, sticker and bookmark by Kay Woolhiser
The main stretch goal for this next issue will be a kickass Blaze trading card that Kay is currently working on - I'll reveal the art on the campaign.
Shipping almost complete + Preview of issue #4!

Hello! Quick update on shipping:
Last Monday we sent out 175 packages, bringing us within spitting distance of completing shipping. I'm working on wrapping up the remaining packages this week. As of this moment, Backerkit tells me I have 32 packages to send (but that doesn't include people who completed their survey later and are still in the "lock addresses" stage, or people who haven't completed their surveys).
The plan is to get all the remaining packages sent out within the next week or so. I'll update everyone when that happens.
Next, I have a preview of issue #4 for you:
Of course, you can follow along and get notified (if you haven't already) by clicking the link below:
Books have begun shipping!
– Tue, Feb 11, 2025 at 03:33:56 PM
Hello! Just wanted to drop a quick note to say I've begun shipping out books - so far I've already shipped about 100 packages, and I plan to ship out a bunch more this weekend. I have a few people coming over to help me out, so we should be able to push through the rest of the packages quickly - I will update again when everything has been sent out.
Of course, I continue to launch new stuff on Kickstarter. Here's a look at what I have live and what is coming up:
February: Vampire Detective in Space: Sleep So Soundly
The latest installment in my sci-fi mystery series is live right now. This new story arc takes inspiration from classic detective novels like The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon. It was written by me and illustrated by Dave Swartz. Click the image above to go to the campaign.
March: Dragon Grit #4
That's right! Next month we are launching Dragon Grit #4. We are keeping the series going as quick as we can on Kickstarter because we know you want the next installment. You can click the image above to go to the Kickstarter pre-launch page to make sure to get notified when it goes live.
April: Unicorn: Vampire Hunter #8
In April we are finally returning to the main series of Unicorn: Vampire Hunter with issue #8. Daryl Toh (the artist of the series) is committed to drawing the rest of Volume 2 this year, so once we hit the ground running with issue #8, we should be keeping the same pace as we've been able to hit with Dragon Grit, running a new issue on Kickstarter every 3-4 months. I'm super excited about this storyline, which sees Edward the Unicorn battling the forces of hell while his friends in the world above journey to save him. Make sure to click the image above to go to the Kickstarter pre-launch page and get notified.
Thanks so much for your support. Looking forward to continuing the story with Dragon Grit #4 next month.

January Update - Books are being printed!
– Sat, Jan 18, 2025 at 09:58:57 AM
Hello! Last week I got the proofs from the printer and the books are in the queue. My rep with the printer told me they will try to get me in before the printer shuts down for the Chinese New Year, but at this point it could go either way. If we don't get in before then, printing will be delayed by a couple of weeks. Regardless, the books should be on their way to me relatively soon.
As always with Dragon Grit, I've paid to have the books that were pledged for on the Kickstarter campaign express shipped, so they will arrive about a week after the actual printing happens, and then I will immediately start shipping them out. The remaining print run will travel to me via boat and arrive a couple months later.
You can expect to see the Backerkit survey very soon. I don't want to promise an exact time for that because frankly creating Backerkit surveys is a pain (but I want to make sure to take my time and do it right). That said, I'm working on it this weekend and plan to get it done and submitted to Backerkit for review ASAP.
Kay is working on issue 4, and we have a couple of fantastic guest artists lined up for variants for that issue as well.
Let me know if you have any questions.

What's Next + A Project to Check Out!
– Tue, Dec 17, 2024 at 05:48:19 PM
Hello! We did it - thank you so much. We unlocked two stretch goals, so you can expect both a free print and an audio commentary from Lorelei and me.
Next up, the Backerkit will go out in a couple weeks after funds are collected, and you'll be able to adjust your order and pay for shipping. Digital copies will also go out through the Kickstarter.
We will order the physical copies as soon as funds come in, and we expect to be shipping books out within a couple months.
STRANGE RANGER #2 is a 32-page, full-color supernatural adventure comic about park ranger Agatha, and her friends Gord, the were-moose and Esme, the woodland magical creature. They find Dusk River Park overrun by the chaotic trollbadgers who are causing trouble and insanity! Written by Mark Bell with art by Ringo-nominated artist Yonson Carbonell.
STRANGE RANGER #2 is a female, science, diversity and LGBTQ positive comic suitable for all ages.
This comic was illustrated by the same artist as Unicorn VERSUS Vampire Hunter #2-3, and I think his work is absolutely phenomenal. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
